Looking to pair a fishing boat with my 2003 ProXS 250 -

Hi all - i snagged a great deal on a 03 pro XS, needs a piston replaced but thats no issue. Im wondering what size boat would make for a nice fishing boat - fast, deep VEE and no i dont have $50k, talking budget here- my 28ft cruiser SUCKS fuel literally, i wanna get out 40 miles to the tuna fast.

This is a post probably better suited for "The Hull Truth"... However I had a 2006 Sea Hunt BX22 with a 250 Yamaha 4 stroke on it.. I loved that boat. Fished it over 30 miles offshore many times in forcast 2-4ft seas or less.. Anything more than that and you had to run like 15MPH and get your ass kicked.. But a 24V trolling motor worked great on it. Also had a t-top. That boat ran like 55MPH with a 21p Tempest Plus.
