I suppose the world does not need the 23 foot Allison sportboat. The Tuff 25 is very good.

I was told by someone who lives near the factory they cut up the first project and dumpster it.

But another one is in the works, as per Mad Dan JUST outboards

The G Force hit instantly and pinned me forward and against the starbord gunnel... I was lucky it hooked left instead of right or I would have went swimming for sure... The G Force kept my foot pinned on the throttle so it was wide open from when it started to hook until the G Force let off... Scooped I have no idea how many gallons of water into the hull, the whole floor was swamped... Broke the swivel clamp in half, engine was hanging by the steering system just sitting back there idling and almost under water.... I still to this day don't know for sure what happened... I found one ear of the prop cracked down at the barrel but it didn't come off and I found one tiny brown spot on the bullet of the lower unit so I have to assume I hit a sunken log and never saw any trace of it... Slowed me down for a while after I got it fixed...
I remember you telling me about that at the Allison Rally.

    Mike,
The 24 GS project was almost complete and I was told that Darus, Nancy, Lee and his wife took it out and it was impressive. Darus made a few more changes and was never satisfied with it afterward. Supposedly this is true.

I asked Bill about it and he said it was not true, and also that he did not think there were going to be anymore sportboats, but he was not sure. I can not blame Darus about not wanting to make high liability products when approaching retirement.

He’s got nothing to prove and is a legend - still would have been a cool boat.

I met a guy during a past Aboat rally in TN that had a Aboat basser that had the engine almost jump into the boat with him, so I thought that was you. Sorry about the mixup.

THe 450 project was a one and done by his #1 dealer, just for fun so to speak. There will never be a 450 sold or mounted by a dealer on another Allison. I do not know how long Tim plans to keep the 450 on his boat, but he has put a ton of setup time in it to get it to where it is today. The new boat is still being worked on and tested, thats all I can say about that.

Someone mentioned why no GS deck on the 21. Darris is not a fan of the new 4S V8 as is on his 21' boats. Hence why he is working on the new boat. Hopefully it will be ready in the next couple of years.

Why did he never finish the big boat?

Times are always changing. Either change or get left behind,

I was at Wally's shop, Triad Boats, and we were talking about Allison's lawsuit against Triad

Wally said if Daris added a little rocker in his keel area, his boats would not hook the way they do.

Keels with rocker tend to turn better, be more forgiving...

Tell old Daris to lower his pad 1/2 to 3/4 inch. He might like it, and add some rocker

If you look at the 22 Stoker boat pad, I call that the West Coast design, the original owner of Sleekcraft boats, Bruce told me it works,

the center is the highest tapers to a gullwing look directing the high-pressure water downwards producing hydraulic lift,

The bat boats use a similar design, different measurements, but the same basic theory.

So if he doesn't like these new motors on the 21's, and doesn't want a GS deck on them, does that mean he's moving up to a 23-4' on the bassers to accommodate the new motors?
