Nothing rides like that hull in that size- I have been on a Montauk in some big ocean waves and inlets, stays on top of the water very well.

We have had several props on it. I refurbed the boat for my dad to use at his cottage in Northern Michigan and I think it has a 14 1/4' 23 turbo 4 blade with almost all of the flare removed. I ran a 26 pro-ET that Mike Eggelston continued to cut down, modify, and perfect. The boat ran 58 with 3 of us in it but my dad wanted a much more conservative set up and when he heard how much we had in that propeller he said NO WAY am going to wreck that one...take it off!!
This boat served its purpose and gave him extra happy days with something to look at from his chair. Whenever he had it out, it started conversations and people would stop him to look at it.

Absolutely gorgeous. And jealous. Blows away my much newer, smirked hull (1998 Alert (special service Montauk) in terms of show quality cleanliness. And jealous of your motor too. Mine just has a garden variety Merc FourStroke 90. It's not very fast. And the motor is h.e.a.v.y. If my Mercaha motor ever goes south on me, you have motivated me to put my spare 2.0/150 on it. And it won't be any heavier than the 90 FourStroke on there now.
If it hasn't sold, I've got to assume the price is too high. Even for a show quality classic Whaler, which is saying something. While your beautiful carb Yamaha would be bonus point for someone like me, based on my read of a lot of the people on the Whaler sites, NOT being a 4-stroke will cost you. Which is weird to me, because these boats were not built in an era where outboards were as monstrously heavy as they are today. Why people want that for a classic Whaler is beyond me. A current Whaler, sure. But not a classic.
I'll be sorry to see yours leave the SnF community when it goes. But I know you want it sold, so GLWTS.

The trailer is 10K to replace and has approx 1000 miles on it. Make me an offer, I am not using the boat and have several other projects that the money can be applied to.
