    2 Stage Process?

Have you thought about making parting line out of painters tape, apply glue and then temp attach the cowl with screws. Screws will allow you to get a uniform gap with the deck and avoid buckling the cowl skin at fastener locations. Let the glue set (perfect bond line), remove cowl and tape, re-glue and install permanent fasteners?

Hope you have sealed the cowl inner surface with West System?

Not this year. 2025 maybe. Still a lot of detail work to do and full rigging.

fastened it in the center, worked around with a small hand plane to get a good fit.

well found a nice wide trailer for the hull. Spent a few bucks building it to fit a tunnel boat correctly. DelCraft now has a good stable home for the rest of the restoration and rigging process.
