They will also run on any commonly available fuel ........... gas, diesel, JP fuel, anything. It just requires the proper know how.

Time will tell how ROTAX did.
BRP also did this with e-tecs for he seals

I was talking about the Switch. I did not realize that they used these engines in any other products so far.

If you are going to make this outboard why stop making outboards.

Team haters high blood pressure, lowers mine with laughter.

Sounds like most of the components are proven. 150hp 3cyl, 2t, variable exaust valve, super short shaft that weighs 535lbs. So close to something I would like,......but its 135lbs overweight, and not made for surface drive. Probably works fine for most boaters.

    Easy listening video.https://youtu.be/lrzrs_cZ2DQ?si=3cBH0M2jTGXr3cr5

These motors are outboards. The switch has their jetski motor with jet drive

One would think that a company like BRP that owns :

    Bombardier
    Evinrude
    Sea-Doo
    Ski-Doo
    Can-Am
    Lynx
    Rotax
    Sachs

That there would be enough brain trust on staff to come up with something a little better than what they brought to market ... be it two stroke or four ..

Chaz = thinkin, they should name that thing "Ghost Sales" ..

Onpad that second video had some great info. 500 hours before needing service??? Self winterizing feature? Most people never get anywhere near 500 hours on their pontoons. More like 50-100 maybe. If these motors live up to that claim and being ROTAX i am going to have to believe somewhere close to that is very likely, then these things will dominate the pontoon market. At least the one that im familiar with. Old fat lazy deep pockets who like the latest stuff as well as quiet and sorta fast reliable blah blah. This ghost lines up for these types

I said this in the last thread on these. Etec sleds absolutely rock! Best two stroke sled motors by a good stretch imo. Self winterizing and misers on two stroke oil and great on fuel too. I like companies that innovate and i like to watch others be the guinea pigs. Skidoo transformed the snowmobile market with the rev platform. This ghost isnt as radical as that was so it might work out well for them.

All speculation at this point but Rotax makes some great stuff. Cant see them sticking their name on something that will tarnish that rep. Time will tell
