Midsummer 1968..

HaaHaa..the Swedish Midsummer weekend party starts today.
Sweden stops completely for a few days and the normally quiet Swede starts singing and dancing around a classic Midsummerr pole dressed in flowers and greenery.
Before the dance a long dinner with friends and lots of alcohol. A short "Nubbevisa" and a small glass of pure Absolut vodka to follow..could be many..!!
I got this picture from an old female friend of mine..We where at Härsö..a club island for boaters in the Stockholm Archipelago for Midsummer.
We got there in my first little sport boat. The year was 1968..!!
Looks like my Midsummer 1968 ended early..My friend Curre is dragging me to our tent behind..a power nap was needed..

I was sent to class for Johnson and Mercury and was certified to do warranty work at both Johnson & Mercury.

Well..when I made the sponsor deal with Arne Boden/Skanstull Marin AB he did not want to give me a fixed number for the racing season.
Instead a sponsorship based on winning.
500 Swedish krona for winning, 300 for second place and 100 for third..
Well..I won every race I entered 1973..so after the season he cancelled my sponsorship..
My two years with Arne Boden/Skanstull Marin AB was very good for me..I learned a lot and in 1974 I left and started my own Evinrude dealership with help from Huzells..The Evinrude distributor for Sweden.

1973, my buddy Don and I are in Europe traveling on the Euro-Rail. We stopped at many different countries sightseeing. Before, we went to the Bristol Embassy Grand Prix, running of the bulls in Pamplona Spain, and the Acropolis in Greece, we stooped in Copenhagen Denmark.

Don and I decided, after walking around to see the local sights, like the Little Mermaid, we went to a local public park to relax. And, in the grass park, we saw something of interest.

Young beautiful females topless in the grass field park. Enjoying the day and the summer sunshine. I can still remember this very pretty blond swinging a young child, whilst her friends looked on. Needless to say, Don and I enjoyed relaxing with the free show, and pleasant atmosphere.

Small world..This is from Holbaek, Denmark 1973.
The UIM SE Class Nordic Championship race was run in this little town. For me it was a great weekend..I won the race but it was a windy/rainy weekend..meaning no topless girls..!!..
