Boating In SW Florida Any Good Places?

Where should we go running tomorrow. We have been running around in the gulf area... Marco and Naples in the Tuff 24. Any rivers or inland lakes we should try out?

The closest would be Lake Placid and its surrounding lakes. Further North Mt. Dora and the Harris chain is great, a little further and you can experience the St. Johns river. You really need to hit them on your way North.

Franklin Lock. Caloosahatchee river.
Harris chain is awesome. Hickory point boat ramp. Thru the dead river and Dora canal.
Beautiful part of florida.

Boat house Tiki Bar has great food. Just west of Franklin Lock. on South side West of 31 Bridge.

If you put in on east side of Franklin lock at campground. Fresh water side. Its 30 mile east to the next lock. Ortona.

Yes between Franklin lock and the lock to the east Moore Haven possibly, it's 28 miles and you can haul ass through most all of it. There's a no wake zone (short one) at a bridge.

Thanks everyone! We had a great time on the river yesterday. We had some pretty stiff gusts of wind out of the south that would have us crab walking on the pad haha! It was great to run 30 miles back and forth though with hardly any boat traffic. I will post some pictures.
