I have always wanted to go. Its on my bucket list. My father went a few times and sent me lots of pictures of bad bikes and bad women. Loved seeing women in thongs and chaps.

Went last year for the 200 race, was planning on going this year but...

Going to move that way, as soon as I sell my business.

    Cool

lived there 82 - 90 ish , those were the good ole days , see how on Main st the big gaps between the bikes ? Not back then , it was fender to fender tire to tire from start to finish , you could walk the entire street faster than ride a bike , but you want to talk about the sights ,,, it was an orgy of happy assed people
most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

I wonder with the decrease in Bikers attending and participating on Main Steet, is because the "orgy of happy assed people" took over the scene. Maybe the event has transitioned to a certain demographics of Bike owners.

It’s the one tradition I have not missed in 45 years now. I didn’t make it to Main Street this year though.Click image for larger version.

This was the last year for Main St. I went down there one time all week. The best part of the week for me was the World of Outlaws at S.R. 40 speedway, the short track races Thur. night (rained out Friday), and the baggers on Sunday. It was a great crowd this year.

I used to love the 250 road race in the morning then the motocross/supercross in the afternoon. My uncle was big into the flat track racing. We would race the supercross on amateur days on 2 wheels. On three wheels I won the triple crown of supercross in the pro 200 2 stroke class it was Atlanta, Orlando and Daytona. Many memories there even ran the Aligator enduro many times.

Not sure where they are going to direct everyone from Main St. but they are doing the same transition they did with Beach St.. It is going to become all condos and upscale dining/bars similar to Flager Ave. in New Smyrna.

yes it has , obnoxious harley riders and almost nobody else. our last trip there a few years ago was an absolute waste of time , 35 horney dudes for every female , go to take a leak and come back to a swarm of idiots trying to hit on your wife , no thanks

I used to go to bike week every year, starting 1970, back when if you saw a Harley it was broke down .we would ride to the beach sometimes during evenings for dinner or whatever then ride main street sometimes but stopped going about 10 years ago due to the rude ,un experenced riders & people steeling anything not locked down & the party crowd making main street smell like piss & puke, no thanks !
