Looks like I do have both shafts you need used. LH and RH small spline big inner dia. propshafts. I will have to get the LH one from my friend. When I get them both in my hands ill post/send you pics of them.

By any chance do these use larger keys than the non race versions (fishing)

They all use the same keys. Fishin, 2.5 sportmaster, cle etc.
The 3.0L ones don't have keys as almost no 3.0L gearcase uses a key/slot.
I can cut them and put oversized keys in them that still fit into the merc gearcase but are far less likely to spin. I do that on all the gearcases I build that have spun carriers in the past. If I tear one down thats spun it automatically gets cut and a longer/fatter key put in.

Here are some pics of the shafts I have. The RH one is in about the same condition as the left. Both have visual wear lines, but they are smooth and hold pressure just fine. Bearing surfaces are perfect. The RH shaft has some pitting/roughness outside the seal area between the seal and the thrust taper; I guess that was from use in salt water at some time, but it doesn't affect the sealing. Both shafts hold pressure perfect. Let me know if you need them.

The RH looks about the same as the one I already have. Is there somebody known to the forum that repairs them?
How are the faces of the thrust washer on the LH shaft, they look a little blue/black.Last edited by putt-putt; 12-27-2022 at 05:46 PM.

I ended up building a LH case a month ago and used the NOS carrier in that.
When you say you want a standard propshaft do you mean a RH fishin shaft? If so I'm sure I have that. I do not have a LH fishin propshaft. Driveshaft no...I've been going through a lot of those lately.
