    Interesting bottom, best of luck

looks like it will be fast in calmer waters

Todd D is putting together a 24 FT plug for a offshore racing class, don't believe he will rig it just pull a mold,

I had this Idea of installing a short center pod to protect the single motor from high water pressure blasts, not as low as the side sponsons.

The chaudron 25 and 27 come to mind. I also love the Larry Smith team Scarab 26' which had an OB version. I even thought about a single 450R one, as Team Archer has the molds to build them, and has built some under the Speedster name, all sterndrives.

    Chaudron 25 300R does about 92, SV 27 with 300R about 85.

    Scarab 26

A single engine set up is so much easer and cheaper,

85 to 90 MPH Is as fast as most want to go anyhow, the rest is some form of bragging rights

Now being able to build much lighter sure helps

These new outboards have changed everything, in a great way.

I use to drive down to the Pittsburg F 1 OMC races, in front of the old three rivers Stadium

The best racing ever, they would set one bouy in the center of the river, from what I can remember, the G forces must have been high, to go from 130 something to a bouy and spin the wheel going the other way. never saw a race course set up like that one.

Gorgeous, Dan is finishing a 32 like that only with a full windshield for pleasure.

The 26 is incredible. I might commission one as an OB.

I was living in Pgh during those years but just wasn’t into boats yet at that time. I was heavily into the dirt track scene up there. Then I went to school and had put it all away for 4yrs. I loved that stadium, hated to see it go but I hear it was quite the rodent nest. I don’t know that I’d like the spray of the Monongahela river in my face

At my age - mid 70's, 85-90 is plenty fast. Used to think that was slow.
