Well, well , well Mr. Cool is back

I'm so, so happy to see this

Drives a boat he designed and produced !

That's just BAD to the bone

You have always been one of the most respected racers, doing it YOUR way.

I found the race will post below, the race starts at the two hour mark ...

Al just plays with them, It looks effortless

    Classic AL

Is there someone still building these 22s , I like the high sides V design

A perfect boat for the newer heavy outboards

Wonder what the top speed of Al's boat if set up for top end would be?

However, an older Al has switched powerplants.

Merc is the preferred winning product now.

Well it is nice to see Dirk Olsen is back to racing. He had not been racing at Long Beach the last several years.
He was leading the Parker race 2022 until Al passed him.

Here is Dirk (and me congratulating him) after he won a heat race in Long Beach at the Sprint Nationals. In his Grand National boat 820.

I'd be curious to see more pics/ details on that capsule. Is it in the rules to run a capsule, or just a safety precaution? Looks like it needed a bit of engineering to make that work.
