5 pedal or 7 pedal
I have a question what is the performance difference between a 5 and 7pedal reed set up. Does it help on the top end mid or low end. Obviously your able to get more air more fuel equal more horsepower so what's the dawn fall.

Seven petals make more power at the top of the RPM range and give up power in the lower range. From what I've read I can summarize and parrot the info gleaned which is; if your not spinning past 7000RPM your better off with a five, or four petal known as sportjet reeds which are closer to 7 performance but still solid down low.

Thanks for the info I purchased a blown block for some parts a day at tear dawn I noticed it had a 7 pedal reed set up. With a brand new set of Chris Carson reeds in it. I was thinking of shaping but I like my low end power.
