    Need a gear made

    Can anyone here make this gear ?

    Chaz here's the gear I messaged u about , they don't sell this gear alone

    Rust has ate the splines up or they were rounded off b4 the rust idk. U can mail the gear to who ever is making it. Sure would b a huge help

    That would take a gear hob machine and a spline broach to make. Looks like a simple part, but it takes some pretty specialized machining operations to make it happen.

    First thing out of the guys mouth, with a CNC lathe, around here, would be .....
    wha-da-ah want .. 50 , 100 , 300 of em ...

    Agreed. I'd find another one already made. First you have to figure out what the forms are for the teeth and the splines. They both take specialized cutters. You'd be looking at $1000's to have one made in the US.

    There's a guy here in town that feeds plastic proto parts to the Pratt complex .. I doubt I would even be allowed walk in the door ..

    Those machines are getting more popular every day. I studied up on a bit of cad~cam a few years ago . James Perry .. pushed me along for a bit, sent me some links to software that I could build pretend projects .. Like a lot of things in life .. if I stuck with it .. by now I'd be able to use it . Ifin I was a young buck .. instead of an old fart bout ready to retire .. might~would be different ..
