Hi All,

We had another member here, named Deewane, who was doing the typical pattern of sending PMs to people looking for items, and indicating that he has a friend with the item they're looking for. Under no circumstances should you send money to this person. If you used PayPal or a debit card, contact those companies to initiate a fraud refund.

This user has been banned, and if anybody has had any monetary exchange with this user, please contact me.

He said he had a buddy with a perfect offshore mid for me. Email was "[email protected]" for this Deewane SCAMMER!

Another user name that sent me messages about their "Buddy" having the part I was searching for:
Luizmike887 - May 2021 join date with zero posts, "[email protected]" was the email to get my perfect part from the most honest guy around! haha

Yep. He pm’s me. His buddy had the OMC crossflow exhaust filler blocks I posted about in the “parts wanted” thread. Same email address.

I've sent a few more e-mails to my new pen-pal .. no response. I feel so dejected ...

Their English is so poor and the scam is usually something like .. they will pay you asking price .. say $300 for your prop and $1500 to cover shipping. Send the shipper the $1500 immediately ... yes, there are some that are gullible and fall for this.

Me , I like to have them send me the worthless $1800 dollar check to :

Which is the Police station / jail compound ...

Usually good for a few days worth of laugh's ...

The police can't stop them since they don't live in the USA , best we can do is make them spend $20 bucks on a next day red letter and drag them thru the mud for a few days as a deterrent ...

Do nothing ... and they will continue to bilk the elderly out of their S.S. checks
