No ketchup ... on Venison

No ketchup on … Venison meat.

“When you put ketchup on meat/venison, then all meats tastes the same” said my late uncle Norman.

He commented to me at one of the last times, that I ate venison with him and cooked by him. I think he confided in me about, no ketchup, was because I did not add any to my plate. I liked the taste, the way he cooked it. However, I did not inform him, that I was not opposed to putting ketchup on a hamburger.

It might be an overstatement by my uncle, but he felt people putting ketchup on any beef, made it all blend into the same condiment flavor.
