Oh my, your climate is changing!
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

Crazy wind here in NC. Son's, grandson's swing set and deer stand. My son is in Burgaw and said it was a steady 50mph from the south until it stopped and reversed. The deer stand was cabled to an auger. Grandson isn't happy about his swing set. I'll go help them fix it up next weekend.

It was doing the same thing here. I live a well built brick house and you could hear the wind over the TV!
39F now and that heat pump is just a pumping. Damn things loose their efficiency any temps under 45F. If it dies before I do, I am going back with ass gas. I do have a propane heater to supplement other wise my power bill would be through the roof!

I'm sorry but you are all wrong about March. It is one of the best months of the year.

Air source heat pumps are not very good in climates below 35 degrees. Run, defrost, run defrost. Any HVAC business worth their sauce will tell you that heat pumps need a ground source thermal loop. Dig down 6-8 feet and the soil temp is a stable 60 or so degrees. You can also run a closed loop into a lake or pond. They act like giant thermal batteries.
