I guess the rumor will shortly be true .......... a new member for "The List"

......A third player for the open slot is the Chaudron Pro S22. Max speed with a 300XS with DBR 1.3 with a lot of different props yielded 95 mph. A normal build with a 250 XS weighing about 2200 lbs fully rigged less fuel will do around 82 Mph. There is a rumor one is in the US.

Impressive photo and effort 28. Your Labsport V hull (what is the deadrise?) is certainly getting the word out in US waters with the 300R.

In the Photo I had Tabs straight out motor trimmed in with 1/2 Ballast tank aprox. 20 Gal.

Flat portion of pad 9" bevel 2" each side with stainless track for high speed River turns on the Pad.
22 Deg. 12" drop from outer chine to bottom of Pad.

The Nizpro deal has always intrigued me but I have a few questions.

1. Water pickup for high speeds and running the gear case very high. Also can the lower handle the heat from running high?
2. Gearcase/propshaft strength?

As always RR, looking forward to the Nizpro Yamaha V6 data you dig up. Much appreciated

I am guessing the 450 Nizpro unit comes in at about 630-650 lbs total. Needs some upgrades to the lower and shafts to handle the power too. I would love to try one some day but 120-150 lbs over my current 300xs is a hard pill to swallow. I would NEED a ballest tank then for sure!!! I bet it would rip with some setup time though!

The Yamaha SHO 250 is "said" to weigh the exact same as the Mercury 300XS in stock Sporty form. The scale weight of the black smoker is 505lbs.
The Nizpro upgrade kit "all in" adds 102 lbs to the SHO motor to yield 450 horsepower. They seem to have many units running in OZ over the five years they have been offering the upgrade kit. Not sure if there are any full 450 kits running in US waters. I would assume it can run on pump 93 octane but not sure.
