He is also 100% republican and a Trump supporter aside from the fact that he really wants to tackle climate change (he says its a world problem much more then a U.S. problem-therefore it will be a world solution not just a U.S. solution). He realizes that the taxation and never ending government spending is what will ultimately destroy this country but "this is by far still the best there is". He said that years ago I was in support of many democratic ideologies but they have gone off the rails.

Joe you make up your own "facts"...
Musk made 160 million from sale of PayPal in 2002 which he ended up investing everything into SpaceX because he had to or It would have failed. If his 3rd attempt would have failed there would have never been Tesla his original goal was to use 1/2 his money from the sale of PayPal but he needed to burn It all or It would have died, He has put It all on the line a few times and made it work through his own pereverance, more than anyone to date, he has no boundaries when It comes to work the most driven person In the world.

Blue Origin is Jeff Bezos -Amazon? your confused...

So you don't trust Fidelity investments huh? about the largest company of It's kind...

So your a Socialist huh, since 1977 I've owned income property, that's all I did when I moved to Fl. in 1985

I started planning for the future but you want me to give It away to someone that has never made the sacrifices that I have

because you feel sorry for him because he is a Trumpster... that is why I only give him $100 per year because of the political

climate that he pursues, I'd be crazy to support a Trumpster who has never planned for the future and wants a hand out.

As far as real estate deals, I wish I would have kept up with them, that was the original plan, the raw land that I own was

made almost useless because of environmentalist concerns, the County just bought a 1,000 acre parcel up the road from

me (rumor is future county landfill it's not far from the present one which is filling up) and Florida Rock ownes another 1,000

acres next to them that is all approved to dig a rock quarry so I've been told to wait a few more years...

to get to that land they would have to buy land from me that's why I bought It in the first place, F'n tree huggers ...

I'd be happy to get back the $340,000 and 20 years of taxes I paid for for those parcels...

I have a wife dieing at home which has taken the wind from my sails, I can't go anywhere or do anything because I'm a full

Views of Elon Musk he's NO Trumpster...

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    ElonMusk
has expressed many views on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from politics to science.
Within the context of American politics, Musk is not explicitly partisan and has donated to politicians from both major parties. He supports policies such as universal basic income and a tax on carbon emissions and opposes some government subsidies, though his companies have received loans from the US government in the past.[1][2] On multiple occasions, he has mocked the use of pronouns, for which he has been accused of transphobia. Musk is also a prominent critic of short-selling. He endorsed Andrew Yang in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries. Musk has expressed concern about issues such as artificial intelligence and climate change. He has criticized COVID-19 lockdowns and has spread misinformation about the virus. Additionally, he has criticized public transportation.

    Political[edit]

Political parties and the US in general[edit]

    Main article: SpaceX

Musk with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 at the Tesla California headquarters

Musk with Vice President Mike Pence in 2020

Politically, Musk has described himself as "half Democrat, half Republican" and "I'm somewhere in the middle, socially liberal and fiscally conservative."[3] In 2018, he stated that he was "not a conservative. I'm registered independent [and] politically moderate."[4] Prompted by the emergence of artificial intelligence, Musk has voiced support for a universal basic income;[5] he additionally backs direct democracy and has stated he thinks the government on Mars will be a direct democracy.[6][7] He has described himself as a "socialist", but "not the kind that shifts resources from most productive to least productive, pretending to do good, while actually causing harm"—arguing instead, "true socialism seeks greatest good for all",[8] but later clarified not to take this tweet too seriously.[9][undue weight?discuss] He supports targeting an inclusive tax rate of 40%, prefers consumption taxes to income taxes, and supports the estate tax, as the "probability of progeny being equally excellent at capital allocation is not high."[10]
In an interview with The Washington Post, Musk stated he was a "significant (though not top-tier) donor to Democrats," but that he also gives heavily to Republicans. Musk further stated that political contributions are a requirement in order to have a voice in the United States government.[11][12] A 2012 report from the Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan group that tracks government spending, found that since 2002, SpaceX had spent more than $4 million on lobbying the United States Congress and more than $800,000 in political contributions to Democrats and Republicans. As for Musk specifically, the same report said that "SpaceX's campaign to win political support has been systematic and sophisticated," and that "unlike most tech-startups, SpaceX has maintained a significant lobbying presence in Washington almost since day 1." and that "Musk himself has donated roughly $725,000 to various campaigns since 2002. In 2004, he contributed $2,000 to President George W. Bush's reelection campaign, maxing out (over $100,000)[13] to Barack Obama's reelection campaign and donated $5,000 to Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, who represents Florida, a state critical to the space industry. [...] All told, Musk and SpaceX gave out roughly $250,000 in the 2012 election cycle."[11][14]
Musk has described the United States as "[inarguably] the greatest country that has ever existed on Earth," describing it as "the greatest force for good of any country that's ever been." Musk believes democracy would not exist any longer if not for the United States, saying that it prevented this disappearance on three occasions through its participation in World War I, World War II, and the Cold War. Musk also stated that he thinks "it would be a mistake to say the United States is perfect, it certainly is not. There have been many foolish things the United States has done and bad things the United States has done."[15]
In September 2021, in response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott saying that Musk supported Texas' "social policies", Musk tweeted "In general, I believe government should rarely impose its will upon the people, and, when doing so, should aspire to maximize their cumulative happiness" and "That said, I would prefer to stay out of politics".[16]
    US presidents and presidential candidates[edit]

Before the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, Musk criticized candidate Trump by saying: "I feel a bit stronger that he is probably not the right guy. He doesn't seem to have the sort of character that reflects well on the United States."[17] Following Donald Trump's inauguration, Musk expressed approval of Trump's choice of Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State and accepted an invitation to participate in two councils advising President Trump.[18][19] Regarding his cooperation with Trump, Musk has subsequently commented: "The more voices of reason that the President hears, the better."[20] He subsequently resigned from both business advisory councils in June 2017 in protest of Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement on climate change, stating: "Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world".[21][22] In May 2020, amidst Musk's restarting of Tesla assembly plant production during the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump tweeted in support of Musk, which Musk welcomed and publicly thanked him for on Twitter.[23][24]
In August 2019, Musk came out on Twitter in support of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, whose platform revolves around the ongoing problem of job displacement through technological automation and AI. Musk said in a tweet that universal basic income, which Yang supports, is "obviously needed".[25]]

He also realizes that the US going all EV is a pipe dream. The infrastructure will not handle it... Even if everyone charges at night...

Hell as little as I drive now being retired, I thought about an EV... But in 4 or 5 years it needs new batteries? F- that!

    Jim,

I was told face to face in mid 2020 that he strongly supports Trumps economic views. He disagrees with Trumps non-support of the climate change attempt but said the democratic party is "off the rails with taxation and spending". Kent Sharples who runs the CEO Business Alliance Group specifically asked him the question. The CEO group which is backed up by the France family, Hyatt Brown, and 4 other Billionaire families local to our area was designed to donate money in attempt offer incentive "combined with state and private raised funds" to attract new business and employment to our area. They couldn't compete with what the Federal government offered him to lease more land on the Cape Canaveral site so he went there. So if you are going cut and paste articles, check the dates and make sure they somewhat current.

Nice job slamming Greg and showing your true colors "someone that has never made the sacrifices that I have because you feel sorry for him because he is a Trumpster... that is why I only give him $100 per year", " I'd be crazy to support a Trumpster who has never planned for the future and wants a hand out", but yet you remain on his site and continue to run your mouth for a 27 cent a day donation. **NEWS FLASH JIM**, (this was my idea-NOT Greg's), read the first sentences in the thread-I thought I made that very clear but should have known that you and a couple others would have trouble with the simple comprehension. Greg should be considered a friend "for friends, all B.S. goes aside". Step up show how much you and your party care about friends who have been put a bad situation. I am truly sorry to hear about your wife but fortunately she had a good career at the hospital and has great insurance to cover the majority of her expense along with a independently wealthy husband to step in for the balance. Greg's mother didn't have all of that and he stepped up where he could to give her the best care that was available to him. 25K will in no way cover all of his expense but he refused to go for an amount that was higher then what his boat would potentially sell for. My objective is to fill the void that would "potentially be filled with the sale of his boat".

If you think that this makes me a socialist then so be it--people that know me and watch me operate on a daily basis are aware of the real Joe and my true intentions "you are not".

    Merry Christmas,

    Joe

Conservative Republicans are FAR more generous with charitable giving than demos. Doesn't make them socialist. Socialism is forced by the govt, not the voluntary helping of others. I recall years ago when John Kerry, who's married to Heinz family, released tax record and his charitable contributions were something pitiful like $1k for the year. Billionaire. That's indicative of demos.

Amazing that he needs to have things spelled out like this and still managed be self employed and to make the money he claims to have. I give a fare amount to our Catholic Church as well, but surely don't consider what they do as a being socialist "they don't suppress people or demand votes".

Enjoy this day of celebration Danger-

For someone that donates NOTHING to this site I'm suprised you piped up?

John Kerry gave 5% of his paycheck in charitable donation per year and his wife, read the truth below...

Teresa Heinz Kerry, Portrait of a Philanthropist

    May 11, 2004

In the thirteen years since the death of her husband, Senator H. John Heinz III, in a plane crash, Teresa Heinz Kerry has become the guiding force behind one of the country's largest philanthropic organizations, the New York Times reports.
Today Heinz Kerry, who married Democratic presidential contender Senator John Kerry in 1995, is chairman of the Heinz Endowments, which control $1.3 billion in assets and gave $54.5 million to charitable causes in 2003. She also runs the Heinz Family Philanthropies, the umbrella organization for a $70 million family foundation she created after her husband's death and the two non-tax-exempt charitable trusts that finance it. Her first husband, who ran the philanthropies for four years before he died, had big plans for the endowments, but it was left to his widow to carry them out.
"My husband was an only child; if I had not done this, there was no one else from the family to do it," Heinz Kerry said of her decision to lead the endowments. In the years since, she has remained true to the family's historic commitments while also expanding them. "There has been continuity, but she has also managed to make them think bigger," said Morton Colemen, director emeritus of the Institute of Politics at the University of Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh, where the Heinz company and endowments are based, was a gritty industrial city with high unemployment when Heinz Kerry took the helm of the philanthropies. But thanks in part to her leadership, it is home today to more environmentally friendly "green" buildings than any other city in the country. Similarly, led by the endowments, its riverfronts are undergoing a renaissance, and its public school bureaucracy has made changes in response to the endowments' demand for hard-nosed assessments of how effectively its grant dollars are being used.
Heinz Kerry has said she intends to carry on her philanthropic activities should her husband become president of the United States. For some, this raises concerns about the influence a first lady with control of a $50 million to $70 million grantmaking budget might yield. But Heinz Kerry dismisses such concerns. "My husband does not have a lot, or almost anything at all, to do with what Heinz does," she told the Times. "It's my life, my work, it's nothing to do with him."

Not much to say. He is showing us what he really is.

Greg's heart is sometimes too big. I would have booted this worthless POS out long ago.

Some of you don't know what he has done in the past... And it is all no good.

He is a sorry bastard and deserves everything he gets.
