Just agreeing w everything they said
foil shouldn't be dragging in the water.
Should try w/o it (if you cant raise it enough to be out of the water)but if you're loaded down might be helping alot..just need to get it out of the water when running..make a big difference
Was curious you still have room to raise it.. how much?

Well moving it up one more hole was the answer, boat runs awesome. 5400 rpm wot trimmed up and just tickling 46 mph. Would like to hit the 50mph mark but not sure if I should jump up to a 21 pitch prop or not.

Well I’m happy with the improvements, but I have a goal of getting into the 50s for speed. Down the road I may put a 200 black max power head on this boat or something. But for now I’d like to pump this 135 up. Was looking at maybe throwing a jack plate on, but not sure yet. What can I do to this 135 to push more out of it and possibly make it rev a bit faster. Reeds? Carbs? Shave the heads? Looking for suggestions guys. I’m a gear head, so I like tinkering and improving. Thanks guys

Yup raise it! You can make power with the 2.0L but it’s a lot of work and money. Best and easiest gains are to shave the heads down and run premium. I can’t recall if you did already delete the oil injection but that’s a must do as well as any black boxes you need to delete those.
if you want to make the most of the 2.0L you can port it to champ specs. Add steel caged bearings. Upgrade the rod bolts. Put the 200 or xr2 plate on it. 200 carbs. Chris carson Reeds and stuffers. A box of carb jets. Do all that and you can get around 200hp out of these. But it’s a lot of workHydrostream dreamin
