RacerVboat, I just got off the phone with Seastar tech and they do not sell that o-ring. When they get the hose end fittings the o-ring is already installed he told me before they assemble the hoses. It will come off but will be a PITA to get off he said, and go to a hydraulic shop to try to find replacement. He also said for air to get in the system oil has to come out. So if just a tiny little bit of oil leaking out that hose end he said it does not make sense to get as much play as we are getting after we bleed the system and it is tight, then loose the next morning.

Dentists pick with curved end to remove, hyd shop and get some new ones. Oil them up and put them on.

Thats what I said and the Tech guy said they don't come off that easy. haha. I cant believe they are that bad to take off and find replacements.

They usually break removing them. Just be sure to get some good viton rings. You need the oil and gas resistance they have.

...viton rings are purple in color, arent they stream?. or am i thinking of nitral? either are better than neoprene, but will do in a pinch. harbor freight complete "kit" less than $10.00. the kits are available everywhere & on-line cheap.

Looks like we got some more air out of hit yesterday and RacerVboat said still tight this morning. I think there was some air stuck in the check valves is my opinion. Pulled it hard on the lock and it spit out air out the top of the helm. turned all the way other direction and same air out the helm filler.
