So sorry to hear. It's crazy how the internet has changed the way we interact... over the years, we would attend various events and we would always ask "what's your screen name on S&F?" Da Bull was one of those names I have seen for years on here, but unfortunately never met. May he rest in peace.

Wow... when I first got into my STV, DaBull was full of suggestions and the history of my boat. He told me exactly how to set it up and told me to "HOLD ON, HAVE NO FEAR... THEN PUSH IT A BIT HARDER ONCE SHE LAYS FLAT!!"

I will never forget how scared I was following such advice and I was FEARLESS!!

    RIP Bobby!!!

Last time I hung out w/him was at the Winter nationals in Houston.

We had a mutual friend (big Mike) that had a light, fast River Rocket w/a bottle fed, ground on 2.5 on it that Mike was going to let me race.

I shipped my safety gear and a true, early, 20” Yammi drag then I flew in.

By the time I got to the river, Bobby’s son was racing Mikes boat.
They told him it was my turn.

I was having so much fun watching Bobby coach him, I said no way.

Found a chair, opened the cooler and became a spectator.
Was a bummer not getting to race but I was not going to interfere w/that!

I think that’s an appropriate final memory to have of Da Bull.

    *EDIT*

Spent the first night w/friends in Houston but 2nd night I hung out w/the boys at the river and slept on the floor of their hotel room that night.

It was late and they were both in bed asleep when I came back to the room and not wanting to wake them I didn’t turn on any lights.

Grabbed a blanket and a pillow and curled up on the floor and went to sleep.

Woke up the next morning to Bobby laughing his butt off at me due to them having a spare 2.5 powerhead on the floor right beside where I was sleeping!
I didn’t even know it was there till that morning.

They both thought it was hilarious and Bobby rubbed it in for many weeks to come!

RIP Mr Sanders, you will be missed!

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
