    Louis Collins

Louis passed this week after a short battle for his health. He and his son Brad were the founders of Mirage boats.
For those that knew him, drove for him, or drove against him, he was a fierce competitor. Louis was also a generous person. Many on this board had the privilege of being close to him. If you would like to pay your respects, he will be laid to rest Sat, August 14 in Waco Tx.

    Good Bye LH.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I spoke with Louis a very long time ago about Mirage, and he really helped to shape what single-outboard tunnel boats evolved to in a major way. Whether anybody owns a Mirage or not, his and Brad's influence likely affected most of is in some way or another. A really terrible loss.

May he rest in peace, and we are forever thankful for all he has given to our boating community.

    Greg
