    Friend of mine raced K boats professionally on the east coast-corkscrewed the boat @ the start/finish line @ Hampton Roads Va.-luckily the capsule saved him!

    Growing up on the Niagara river they raced inboard Hydro's and I believe two classes of Ski boats and the conditions were not as nice as those above, I never had a urge to get involved with the inboard stuff, But I use to travel to watch the outboards run.

    They still have "Thunder on the Niagara" with the Hydroplane Racing League out of Valleyfield,Quebec. Grand Prix hydros!

    Unlimited hydros also great
    We have had piston engined unlimiteds in Australia, ( Miss Bud) the only thing that could give them a run for their money was a 23' KT tunnel boat due to its cornering.
