It won't die. I left my foot on the floor for 5 min one night just for that reason and it will keep running like in the video

Well... I feel kinda dumb.... but I found it.
When I installed everything, the first thing I did was run the fuel line.
So... all the motor wiring, shift and throttle cables, and hydraulic steering were all laying on the hose.
Last night I wanted a little more hose and it didn't want to move, so I resituated it so it was on top of everything.
Tonight I went for a run with the fuel pressure gauge on it and I didn't have the opportunity to look at it as it never died out.
Now it runs great! Time to finish breaking in the rebuild!
Thanks again folks!

Pinched the damn hose..... wait...I've done that too..... even with 30 years of professional experience...... Glad you found it.

Well that makes me feel a bit better!
I was really close to pulling it back off and running the old OMC!
My tourneys start a week from tomorrow.... I was starting to panic!

Had one years ago that would die only on left turns....... yeah......... a twist in the hose that would kink on left turns....................

LOL That part of the build was perfect!
Now to figure out the rest of the setup.
Once I found it I ran, I around the lake for a while breaking the motor in and found if I trim up all the way it would start sucking air, and temps would rise. So next time out I'm going to drop the jack plate 1/2" and see how it does. I thought I had it set to 3.5" Prop to Pad, but I must be a little higher.Last edited by DieselDood; 05-25-2021 at 03:36 PM.
