The man with the Black hat is Carlo Ferrara, friend and sponsor of Renato. This grill party of "asado" was done in his wine-yard in Tuscania.

EVINRUDE & JOHNSON ‘A’ STOCK RACERS – Back in the 1980’s, OMC built 15hp outboards with high-speed gear cases qualifying for APBA’s Class A Stock Outboard runabouts and hydroplanes. Class A boats are smaller light weight race boats built with lightweight marine plywood and mahogany, carbon fiber or fiberglass. A Stock Hydro (ASH) is where many racers transition from Junior classes to Stock Outboard. This class is very popular, so full fields make for terrific, exciting competition in the 50- to 55-MPH range. A Stock Runabout (ASR) is the natural next step for a racer graduating from Junior Runabout, or for AX Runabout drivers wanting more water time and a little more speed (around 48 MPH). Many Evinrude & Johnson Class A outboards are still racing today.
The OMC 15A is the racing version of the popular 15 HP fishing motor. It uses the same power head with a special direct drive lower unit coupled to a short mid-housing with above the water exhaust. In JSH and JSR classes, a restrictor plate is placed behind the carburetor to limit its speed to about 35 MPH for the youngsters. Very little can be done to “hop up” this motor. It is designed for the lighter driver (under 160) who wants pull and go equipment. Some blue printing is allowed to this engine.
