It's been a pleasure to be the care taker of your old boat for the last 25 years or so. I'm glad you approve of the upgrades!

I don't know if I'd call it "weird," but it was certainly different. The sound is going to take some getting used to. The modified 2.5/200 had the typical snorty 2 stroke open exhaust. I really liked the way that bad boy sounded at 6,400 RPMs. Coming out of the hole waiting for the prop to hook up always turned heads. The four stroke is a low, throaty rumble at idle and very muted at 6,200 RPMs. Like Jason Saris said though, "It'll all be worthwhile the first time you pass somebody who used to beat you like they were waiting for a bus." Probably true.

TooStroked, I’m really digging what you did with your boat, and hope you’re happy with your decision and performance. Pretty cool to do that on 87 octane.

As far as your boat and screen name, I’d say you just worked into it accurately; the 4-stroke is “too stroked”

Looking forward to more reports in spring.
