Well lil Johnny , I thought you would lead me to some technical information , not a left-wing social butterfly .
However , there is something to be learned from every situation ..
Todays lesson is that , I spoke of the attributes of the new V-8's not one word of the ole antiques other than I am stockpiled for the … future .
Yet you play a song that's 180* out from that concept .. Ohh .. that's right , left-tard , up is down , black is white .. etc .. I get it .. it's inbred ..

I forgot to mention .. the V-8's make more torque from idle to redline , horse power is amazing , unbelievable , astounding .. Better now … ?
Chaz = thinkin, run the block numbers .. 225 EFI's ..

I agree that they are bigger, quieter, fuel efficient, socially acceptable, more hip, modern, and only available as new as Chaz says. LOL. Randy's numbers do not lie and neither does my test data.
My 308 runs 40-100mph in 20 seconds with 2 people, 80 gallons of fuel, gear and 2 people in the heat of S. Fl. Not bad for a 30' boat! See you all on the water!

As bad as he misunderstood what a compliment is , I thought maybe he was suffering from "small water discharge tube" syndrome …

power quips :
I hear the 300R has twice the torque of a 300xs at 5250, that why they are selling..lol
I read that on CNNpower ol boy , ClintonCrimeNoNews network is a TV station , I reckon they have closed captioning .. so yea , ya might have read it …

While the battle axe .. err ..V-8 is 35% larger and should make more torque , if it made "twice the torque" at the break even point .. it would also have to make twice the HP there as well ... Ain't happenin ..
But then , that shouldn't stop sales ..
Twice :
So if we round it off (average) between the two 315 / 315 @ 5252 that must mean the R is makin 630 / 630 @ 5252 .. Clever how they got it to fall off a cliff bad enough to only make 300 @ redline .. after such a strong mid-range ..

I wish my 300R did that. I have a 300R on a 2020 Checkmate Pulsare 2400 closed deck. I test drove a 2400 Pulsare BRX with a 400R in Bucyrus and was impressed with the strong acceleration it had (23P bravo FS prop). My 300R with a 24P Bravo FS does not accelerate nearly as strong as that 400R did. I have tried the jackplate at different heights but not much difference. Comes on the plane fine with no cavitation, just does not feel nearly as strong as the 400R BRX boat did.

I had about 5 props on it and one of them was a 23P and of course it did accelerate quicker but was hard on the limiter. The 24P Bravo FS will turn 6250 - 6450 depending on the water conditions, engine height and trim. Engine runs fine, idles OK (but sometimes I smell gas from the exhaust when I restart it but only when it is hot. Otherwise no smell idling. It accelerates OK but not even close to the 400R and I was hoping it would feel as strong. Top speed is nothing to brag about and the engine has about 27 hours on it.
