ever been on the deck of a boat in the ocean? not a lake, but the ocean? yes, its for just plain holding on & not sliding off the deck in the middle of the ocean. ever tried to get back on a boat, while your in the ocean? you can't have enough grab handles on an offshore boat. in the 70's when these boats were built, there was not all the various hardware choices being made, like we have today. the center deck safety cable & associated anchoring hardware came from the sailboat manufacturing business.

Yes.... all the girls had smiles…. in the adds......not …… the black/blue from the ride...….My wife still rembs about the Drunk...… not me who hit her in the head,,,,getting in the boat...…….with his work boot....
