    Outerlimits SV29 goes outboard

    .

Not sure of the final model name, but this beautiful Outerlimits boat is on its way to becoming an outboard model

luv the way there is no fiberglass lip between the windshield and the cap

Looks nice but they could have gave it more cockpit room if they moved the back seat back. That is one of the things i like the best about my concept sport deck is all the cockpit room you have with outboards.

I agree Jr. I wonder why they do that? The Tuff 25 is the same way, it has less room in the cockpit then there 21 foot model. I don't get it personally. The lines on the OL are cool for sure. That thing will scream when finished.

Maybe a center of gravity thing. Twin O/B's hanging on the back of a notched hull and passengers sitting in seat way in the back can cause the boat to be unbalanced. I do like the fact that people are actually converting I/O's to O/B's. Great looking boat.

I bet it will run 100 with twin 300r and I would assume insurance might be more reasonable since it is not catamaran?

From the rendering, it looks like they could move the rear seat aft and delete part of the sun lounge/rigging compartment. Michael Fiore (RIP) had a lot of input into the design and bottom of that hull. It's a great running and faaaaast boat!

how is this one different than say, the AT one, or the Concept, or the others that have done the same thing, and made so few of them?

I agree that there have never been any big numbers of twin outboard vees other then the center consoles. I hope the new outboard platform will change that at a faster rate then we have seen previously. Outboards were everywhere and mounted on everything imaginable at the Miami show this year so my guess is that it will be a continued trend.

I think that part of the problem was when Concept did there sport deck the economy was in bad shape so people were not buying new boats. But i really like outboards and the cockpit space to have 7 people on board with still room for coolers. Also the cuddy has a bathroom and AC that you can stay in for the weekend no problem all in a 30ft boat by getting the motors out of the boat. To me it was the best all around for the type of boating i do. It took me 2 or 3 years to find one because the number of units were so low.

Looks like it will be ready for rough water with that hull design. I think the Tuff 28 ran around 110 with twin V8's. The OL looks like a lot more hull.
