It isn't going to happen with any of the major carriers unless something underhanded takes place. You will need to go with a marine performance specialty underwriter. Markel, Global Marine, total dollar etc. Your best bet is to get a policy in place that will then allow you to get an umbrella policy from Lloyds of London for additional liability coverage.

While you will find some local underwriters are willing to insure your go fast boats for a reasonable amount, and the coverage satisfies the lien holders requirements if any lien is present. I hope you never really need this insurance in the case of a serious accident. You will be in for a big surprise.

Allstate, State Farm, Geico, Farmers, even Boats US will not knowingly insure boats that run over 60mph in most cases. That's why Total Dollar, Markel, Wozencraft, and Wake Zone are in business.

    Stay Safe.

this is a very good point, you may be able to get insured from a geico or other typical insurance agency because they are not educated or do no research on the boat and maybe you weren't truthful when you applied. but they can simply just refund your premiums and leave you high and dry when you really need it. I found in my hunt that speed and type of hull are the two biggest factors, some companies will insure a 90mph vee hull but wont touch an 80mph air entrapment hull. so make sure they understand the boat you have.

Yep....found out Florida was different for sure. Having insured V's with big power in MD that were capable of running over 100mph, in Florida hard to insure anything that isn't a center console. You can get it...but you will pay dearly.
MD had a lay up clause, cant boat in the winter, so you paid for coverage for a year, but only used it 6 months. In Fl. you boat year round. More boats in Fl. more risk. Boat theft is higher in Fl. It goes on and on. They even wanted to run my credit score, which I don't have a problem with, but wanted to know why? They use that to help determine risk somehow.
