Its a real zoo out there
Well in my pain of not having a tavern, strip club or bar to go to I decided to drive to Appleton WI, about 20miles east of Fremont WI. This is the closest major city to me, with Oshkosh a close second. Anyway I noticed that reg unleaded gas was as low as $1.73 per gal
I was on a quest to buy myself some toilet paper and figured I would go to a warehouse food store named Woodmens. This place is big like four city block square big and they have everything, all makes all styles. If you can think a product, its there and in all size's.
On my way in met a friend whos daughter works at the buffet place called theGolden corral. He told me that since the governors announcement of the closure of all dine in restaurants the Golden corral corp. fired all the shifts of employees at that location, he did not know if they did this state wide, but figured they did.
Once in the store I could not believe my eyes, all the shelves of toilet paper were packed full, with pallets of more waiting in the walk ways, I thought cool, so I took my time, price shopping looking for the value. I than figured I do all me shopping, Not one loaf of bread in the 150foot long seven tears of shelves in the bakery department!! In the can soup department, forget about it nothing! There wasnt' a romemen noodle in the house.
So I gave up took me 24 roll pack of TP headed to the checkout, I passed two ladies almost fist fighting over the last bottle of peril soap. So I did a drive by and headed to the check out, 10 deep! Standing there a kid of another friend of mine who works at the store stop and shot the schit with me for a few, told me that it was starting to settle down and that they had to call the police on a few occasions to break up fights a stuff, and that in the last two weeks the store has broken all sales records, and that the correlates are laughing all the way to the bank! SO PLEASE BE CAREFULL OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by wogi; 03-18-2020 at 10:59 PM.

It is weird. All of the bars and restaurants being closed, so most all of them are dark. Places like Mc'ds had drive thru open, but the restaurants were dark. Very few cars on the road or in any parking lots. It is weird. More people out and about during heavy blizzards and I am not talking about plow trucks.
As far as people fighting over stuff, I wanna see me some of that!!! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! I should get me one of those boxing bells so I can make it happen. Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Hit the local store last night to stock up for my 24hr shift at work today. Paper products, meat, bread, eggs, pre made salads, most produce, all gone. I've never seen anything like it. Glad I buy beef by the 1/4 and have 200lbs in the freezer.

I was at the grocery store Sunday and it was not bad. Some shelves empty, some half full but for the most part, not too bad. Have never seen it that low, but here we are.
Even though I have about enough to last me for a month, I am going shopping tomorrow for what I will consume in the next few days. All the things I have stocked up on will last for a while. Froze some meats, canned vegetables, rice, instant potatoes and so forth. I prefer fresh stuff, but can make it on just about anything. Can go days without eating anything at all, been there, done that.
I feel sorry for the elderly, and kids that have lousy parents. Nothing worse then seeing them suffer. If anybody knows of anybody like that in my area, speak up. I would have no problem helping any way that I can. I have no problem watching grown adults slug it out over the last pack of chewing gum. But I do not like those who cannot fend for themselves to go without.
