If merc guys worried bout water pump, get the metal pump housing, also when my motor runnin on hose ,steam will come off the mid from the water cooling the inside of it from adapter plate, only thing mine has melted is guide tube , I pull my lower few times a yr to check pump or swap it , it gets surfaced alot so I give it little more attention

[QUOTE=mrichartz;3193235]I'm not worried if I leave them in...rgsauger was asking taking them out then I thought about it but w/o exhaust liner is when I think it will burn... I will probably leave them in I have enough exhaust relief between the new mids drilled in back ,the offshore out the back and the lower unit drilled

With the liner in, offshore snout and drill mid won’t be doing much when up and running, it will all be going Through the lower

Merc 2.5, I was wondering about that. A buddy of mine has a bunch of cnc`s. Is there demand for a billet water pump cover?
