Baja 33 Outlaw 496HO's
Recently purchased a 2003 Baja Outlaw 33 SST
Boat runs nice.. WOT has 5000rpm 68-70mph.
Would like to get mid 70's without major eng. upgrades. Boat currently running twin Merc 496ho's, Bravo one drives and Bravo one 15x26p 4 blade props .
Was looking to add exhaust systems and maybe bump to a 27p prop.
Anyone with a similar set up with some input would be great.
Thank You

Suck it up.. start a go fund me and super chargers and exhaust.. blue print the bottom...some of those $5g props
Or better yet stainless 10g sharrow props..
Pull out all the comfort stuff .. probably hundreds of #s of stuff could come out
Hell you probably have a fridge don't you..lol
But Seriously I thought you were going to do the exhaust still looking?
Looking for someone who has or?

WTH....... let's go with the 10g props !
Just trying to get an idea of the performance gains from exhaust and wheels.
I've seen my set up turning 28p ...
but no mention of rpm or speeds.
I'm guessing 5hsp ea
with a good exhaust set up and a 27p 4blade would get me 5mph ?? gonna do some more searching.
Let me know when you have those pro chargers boxed up.....I will send my address.
Get somewhere warm will ya !
you need that Checkmate in the water !

Oh those superchargers were boxed up and shipped last week!! Don't tell me wrong address damn
But what kind of #s are up running now?
RPM speed etc....do your motors have limiters?
Just getting good props and getting them worked for your boat would make a big difference...have to stop some if they have your setup and going faster find out what they are running too..
What props are you running now.. especially if your just running stock props... You know the ones even us poor slobs can afford...
Not the 11g wtax plus whatever in top there's always something.. lol
And what does the bottom of your boat look like have you looked at it?

They told me at the Prop shop that 28p would be way overkill on the rpm. They can rework mine wit some cup to get closer to a 27. I'm leaning toward that. They need to be checked anyway...I have a small bend in one of the blade tips.

I think you should start with props get over there tell them where/what your at maybe even look at another set of props never hurts to have spares..
But if your thinking of doing anything else hp wise props would have to be after..
Need to decide if you want to go that route..
But other than exhaust not likely to correct?

Props need to be reworked anyway because of the small ding in the port. Not a bad idea to have them running true

Euroski...
How did you like your 21 skater?
I rode in one with twins a few years ago at Hardy hot boat at about to the tune of 110 mph the boat is a little short for those kind of speeds but in controlled Waters it was a massive Rush
I live about eight minutes from the skater Factory here in Douglas Michigan. I visit them quite often to see what bad ass rig their building next

I need to get the props reworked anyway... The Boat runs great the way it is.... maybe I'm just pissing into the wind to spend 4,000 to get 5mph
But....I guess that's just how we roll !

I see your in Mich. Call Bret at BBlades, hes not too far from you in Wi. Very knowledgeable prop guy. He will steer you in the right direction with your prop questions. Be patient as he is pretty busy this time of year.
From my experience with all the sterndrive V bottom boats I owned, if you are contemplating doing exhaust changes, or what ever. Do the props last. every time you change something with the motors or drives the props are effected. Then you are changing the props again. The Bravo is a great all around prop, it may just need to be tweeked for your application. Most of my V's were Fountains, but the 29 and 33 Baja's were my favorite Baja's loved the lines of them. Give Brett a call.
