As easy to cut it in the sleeve as it is in the head but the end result is the same regardless of bore size

Why are both motors welded like this? It almost looks like it was cut to do welding on the upper water cavity?

Just picked up a Mercury outboard, wondering what HP it is... date stamped says it was made May 1995 and has an offshore 200 cowl on it...where do you find the letters stamped in the block? All I see is an "H" kinda near the serial number at the top and an "AA" on the side

How can you tell hp just by serial #? When I plug it in to the Mercury parts lookup it gives me a list of all hps

Story is they were on a Sonic with triples that a guy in the the north east bought from a government auction out of Florida. I bought them on eBay from a marina in the DC area. They were complete with offshore mids but no lowers.

Look it up on crowley marine or boats net. When I looked it up all it said was 93 2.0 135L. Showed a horizontal front , 40 amp etc. Its pretty accurate

Good info I see what you see now. I was told it was a 200 when I got it. Strange it's a 93 when the side of it says a 95
