    Mercury 2.5 block id

Can someone tell me what a 2.5 block stamp pp stands for? I know someone had a chart identifying all the performance blocks but I cant find it again. Thanks

Kjdoo4 was asking because of this crazy motor I picked up. Not sure what it is? Its a big bore with 3.640 bores with weird o-ring steel sleeves.

Looks like something Alex Hledin did years back. I know he built some big bore bridgeports with that bore diameter

If I’m right about it’s origin it’s a 260 block that Alex added the bridges to and used an OMC based piston. They made big power but the bridge was obviously prone to overheating. I always wanted to try one with methanol, way less likely to get hot enough to distort
