How big a boat do you want?

Everything is big now. I loved my old VooDoo, but don't know that there is a suitable new engine. One step up, I think someone is building the 15 Allison, but what power.
And of course my SS2000 is out of production, hard to see an ideal new motor for it.

Personally the SS2000 or our family J Craft are big enough. Even if someone gave me 200 large, I don't think I would run out and buy a big boat.

I've had small boats, a Larson Cabrio 250 I/O was the largest boat I had. I prefer the smaller outboard boats for the bay and running in the flats. 22 Activator now.

22 Talon is as small as I’m interested in for a sport boat. Got an 18’ center console, probably bump it up to a 21 bay reef within the next year. If I had the cash and the space them a 32 Spectre with a pair of 450’s would be as big as I’d go.

I'm looking bigger boat with moderate power. 30-32' with twin 150's or 200's. the old Baja's appeal to me. Big cabin , hi sides. Already have 26' shallow v with a single 225 that I guide out of.

28 Tuff with the 725.perfect for my "location". lots of speed and enough length to handle cruiser wakes while river running!

I hate having to pick my days.

had a 24 progression and it was great on everything in Michigan except bad days on the great lakes.

had a Vegas xt, had to pick my days on many lakes, hated that, loved the boat.

now we have a sunsation 288, miss flying the boat up on the pad, but love that we can go when and where we want without having to worry about conditions. Only thing that stops us now is weather/conditions no one enjoys except the super hardcore offshore racers.

24' Tuff, not too big for our lakes and big enough for G Bay or 1000 islands. Need to save some (no all) my money though lol.

I love my 22 Talon but I sure miss the fun factor of a small Hydrostream or Laser with a 2.5. I think one of the funnest boats was my Checkmate MX14 with inline 6. 80 mph and what a ride?

As boat nuts we have to have 3 boats. Small fast scary ride for thrills. Nice mid size fast boat for when it's not perfect, but still nice. And a big boat for when you just gotta go. Or like my desired use to overnight in a bigger boat and do some cruising.

Yes if dreaming..need three like xstreamvking said.
One small super fast rocket for those glassy mornings
One 25-30 fast for the rough days so can just go out with out looking at how ruff..
One to live on.. size? Well again if dreaming it would be big enough to live on period..and drag the other two... haha

But if just one I'm happy with my 25'

I can't seem to get on board with this new 50'+ cc with 6 motor craze. I thought there was maintenance with that sea ray......right now our '69 caravelle runabout at a whopping 17ft seems to get family and friends out just fine (and of course the '85 black max on the back for mosquito control)

For the longest time I had my sights set on a Formula 370SS with a pair of Merc Racing 500 EFI's but over the years priorities change. For what that would have cost USED I bought a house off the St. Johns river with a bulkhead and boathouse for the small boats. While a 370SS would be a very enjoyable boat to own I'm having a lot more fun and am a lot better off financially going the Riverhouse / Small boat path.
