anybody ever heard of this place?

Bud found this website that appears to be a cheap source from overseas for engines. Seems legit, but as usual I am not a believer. He's tempted to order from it. What do you guys think?

I am one that looks at things that seem to be to good to be true as just that.

Say it is legit, looks like it, are there any other fees, taxes, duties or tariffs to be paid?

Fine print says all stuff is paid and included..... I told my bud to contact pay-pal as I have no clue about how they operate.

There is not that large of markup on engines to sell them that cheap anywhere in the world. I am guessing you pay for the engine and when it does not show up how do you get refunded? Scam...

I am not familiar with pay pal. Do they give any buyer protection against a rip off? They want paypal payment.

Hmm, let's see, a 300R 20" RH SM is $31400 MSRP, Jaco sells it for $21900. Seems like a lot of markup to me.

Retail price is $21,000 plus for a 225 Yamaha. To good to be true for $10,800. Go ahead and send your money and maybe they will send you a nice picture of the engine to fulfil the shipping order per Paypal rules.

I've seen obscenely low priced brand new ETEC 250 and 300 engines too. Left over models from previous years

Im unsure what the hold up is with ETEC they are incredibly reliable and industry leading in the snowmobile world. Been a life long sledder and sled engines blow up the most. 10x more frequent maybe 100x more than marine engines in my experience. As for Yamaha? Lots of restructure went on there and they are primarily now an engine company only.

Yes, that’s too good to be true. I’m not too keen on sending my money to Malaysia.

I'm not a believer, but you know a fool and his money are soon parted. I don't know why some guys are so hard headed. I have tried to tell him. His yammi blew up and now he wants another one.

The website seems legit. The whole deal seems shady and too good to be true. He called my merc guy and is gonna be a convert from yammi. Thanks to you all for the backup to what I was telling him. I think when a dozen guys in the boating world call BS. It was too much to ignore for him. He a nice guy and gullible. Not an old, hardened, negative bstard like most if us.
