21-23 ft outboard
Hey guys. Been a long time I/O owner and thinking about going the eggbeater route. Currently running a 22 Classic donzi with a 502. Would like the same performance and usability. The occasional run in the gulf , etc... thanks in advance !

The Donzi 22 is one of the softest riding 22 foot boats out there. It also has one of the least usable (smallest) cockpits in the industry. That said, I doubt you'll find something that rides as soft, but you'll definitely be able to find something that runs (much) faster and has a ton more usable room for passengers and their belongings.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the Progression 22. Other fine choices include the 22 Velocity, 21 Tuff and if you can find one, a 21 Challenger. Happy hunting!1992 Progression 22

Yeah , the Progression and Tuff have my eye. Maybe going to a crank driven seawater pump might solve my aching back !

I believe that was Instigator's Sonic # 2... A great thread with all of the rebuild details.

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Pretty sure I looked at that Vaughn years ago in Cali or one very much like it. Big 22ft boat. Should ride nice in the big stuff. Can remember if it was a straight V or if it had a pad. Got a picture of it somewhere.

My vote for cleanest boat you will get on this board in the class you are looking at that will give you awesome ride and a one of a kind hull. Ghost28 is an ace at keeping his stuff mint. Good luck.Last edited by Ghost S84; 04-30-2019 at 03:42 PM.

This 24 might still be for sale. Colors are timeless IMO.
