CCMS - Service taken to the Extreme

    Hello!
This morning my beautiful wife and my three sons arrived at my bed with the breakfast tray singing happy birthday.

On my tray, I found this package from CCMS, Key Largo, situated on the other side of the Atlantic... Note the ”Happy birthday” marking on the package, this is taking customer service to the extreme!!

The product looks great, same precision and finish as the CCMS reeds I am running! Now my intention is to fit these in my older type intake, to maintain a strong intake signal. Another option is to run the diamond shape mainfold and stuff it like Instigator do iot strengten the signal.
Pics of this will be posted in my build thread ”Looper exhaust porting”.

Many thanks Chris, if more people behaved like you, this world would be a better place!
    Karma...

    Best regards!

I think they will fit nicely without too much mods! Great considering they are made to fit a later, differnt type of mainfold!

.200 that equals 5mm, and that is alot...
Taking that much you must be running w/o stops!?
I have experimented a bit in the same direction, but I think it starts to get tricky even at .100” (~2.5mm) at least on #1.

This is very interesting, do you have any pics? I am playing with the Idea of possibly wasting one of my spare mainfolds and mill it bit by bit iot find the tightest possible fit.

No I do not have pics because the intake is mounted on my motor. I put the intake with reed cage on without reeds to check clearance between the rods and the reeds. I seen plenty of clearance so I milled the intake to move the reeds closer and remove crank caes volume. You can add filler around the reed cages also. I spend a lot of time trying to get as much area filled around the cages. I make my own intake gaskets that go real close to the reed cages and reeds to take up area also. You are correct, I do not run reed stops.

Are you happy with the result? Better throttle response I bet!?
I have played a lot with stuffers and I like the effect, but as always it makes you wanna have more!
I havent tried w/o stops yet, mainly because of the fear what will happen if you let the reeds slam against the wall (at least on #1)
What type of reeds do you use?

I have not tried a stock intake back to back with the one I currently run. I have a lot of feed work done to my block and transfer feed area so I want to make up for as much of the material I removed as possable. I have used TDR reeds and I have Boyesen reeds in it now.
