    [Video] This really is ridiculous.

The title on this video says "out of control cops", but I think it's the driver that is way out of control, and the police were being extremely patient with this guy. This is one of the unfortunate consequences of social media and YouTube. All of these self-righteous 'sovereign citizens' go out of their way to give the police trouble. So what lesson is this guy in the car trying to make clear? DUI checkpoints are there for the safety of everybody, and these YouTube idiots are trying to suggest that nobody should be stopped at checkpoints? I guess the moral of the story here is that the police can only respond after a drunk driver causes and accident and possibly kills somebody? Just ridiculous.

Where I live, at about the 5min. mark this guy would have had a smashed window and forehead. No way would it have gone this long.

Well I only watched about 1 minute of that before my first thought, if I were still on the job, would be would he fit out that partially opened window? One more minute of that my thoughts would have been answered.

I'll be on the drivers side of the argument here. Everyone should act like this at checkpoints. Those checkpoints for DUI or otherwise are a huge overreach of state power. One has to choose, liberty or security! He would have went free if he only surrendered his liberty is that a choice a US citizen should have to make? The law was not on his side, and he was a bit of a douchbag but that doesn't make the checkpoints right.

Rule of Law, DUI checkpoints are legal and save lives. As a note a good friend of mine, a local cop, was working a DUI checkpoint one night. When he got off duty in the wee hours of the morning he was hit and killed on his way home by a drunk driver.

What a tool!!! Should have been detained for as long as possible. Cuff him and put him in a cop car for a couple hours and see how he acts then!

What a douche bag! I would have jerked him out through the half opened window. Probably a good thing I am not a police officer!

I'm in agreement with the douchbag statement, and I thought the cops did an amazing job.
