The fastest Talon 22 SS with a 400R, CNC 5 blade, low on fuel, perfect conditions (50 degrees out) ran 114.9 mph. I did everything I could to see 115, but it was not happening. I was about to start throwing out interior, but it was a customer's boat.

I would think Wayne's boat should run 112-114 mpg with 400 hp and not have to use a CNC prop. I would guess 118 mph with 450 hp and 122 mph with 500 hp. This Yamaha package right now weighs the same as a Mercury 300xs, so I feel my numbers are pretty close with saving a little over 200 pounds on the back.

What did Wayne have to say about the potential of the V6 Yammie versus the V8 Merc?

They are good people. I bought Nathan's old Lifeline jacket when he had grown out of it. Big boy.

We really did not talk much about Mercury vs Yamaha. Wayne wants to see what it can do and then talk about it. We have a new Talon 22 SS being built for a new 300R, so it will be good to see what it can do versus the 300xs and the 400R's. Thanks Todd

    lowball

Ran 102-3 with a near stock 300 PM and 31" Spinelli, so me thinks you're low.

That is a good looking 22 and the Yama looks good on the back. So is the motor starting out as a 300hp?

Agree, that combo looks really good. Especially like the red.

More interested to see how it holds up to 400hp. They did not even trust it on 300R.

This is not your average gearcase. Nothing inside of it is stock, everything has been custom built. I will let Wayne disclose when the time is right everything this combination has.
