XB EFI motor XS direct injected motor. Major diff is fuel consumption and fuel delivery system. XB sucks fuel. XS sips it. Both very strong motors.

The XB platform is also a great candidate to extract extra power from. A little compression, reeds, exhaust relief, and flash will pull 300 and be a really strong performer. As stated above by Xstream, the downside is that they like fuel a lot.

Lowers are inter changable, Both are 3.0 liter motors. Either low water pickup performance types with 1.63 or 1.75 gear sets and fat shafts or, a stock type with reg pickups with 1.75 small shaft.
