Sure but the Porsche isn't going to give you much change from $200K...

The PR from Porsche says $85,000 so $200,000 out the door may be close.

Looks like a car you would want....It is becoming a viable possibility that an electric car could actually be usable as a daily driver and on long trips too.
Let's see the electric bill for that 15 min charge 👍🏻

Like tankless water heater in the house we just bought.
Four 40 amp 220 volt services to power it!
    Thats a 160 amps folks!
Takes several minutes to heat too.

Would have liked to see the meter when that damn thing was pulling 160 amps 😉

    I installed a traditional heater.
    FK that thing!

How many amps you think it takes to charge a full bank of batteries to 80% in 15 mins 😂
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Based the projections on their new small "affordable" car w/projected price in low $30's.
Truth is, theyre ramping up to only build luxury versions of them, which will be in the $50's

The company also has leakers alleging cars being shipped w/defective & damaged batteries etc.

In other words, their ship as a massive leak and is now listing.

Was a recent story in our local paper about an electric car owner dealing w/the reality of living w/one.
    First truthful report Ive seen!

Ford actually did borrow bailout money.

Ford restructured two years before the collapse.

If everyone jumped into an EV tomorrow? The grid would fail. No one would go anywhere. There is a place for EV in the market but to think anytime soon they will displace ICE entirely is comical. So much hysteria lol. If the product is good and works well it will sell even if it runs on elderberries

Ford made it happen on its own and restructured with conventional means a couple years prior to the collapse and did not need a bail out, nor was facing closure. 20+ billion restructuring plan and it worked.

    YIKES!

To put that in perspective, my first house had a 1000 amp service!
The fans think theyre going to plug their cars into the outlet in their garage!

The tree huggers think as long as it doesnt come from a gas station, they are going green and saving money and the planet.

I have a 48v golf cart and love it. It will pull a 23' I/O through wet grass.
Oh yeah, put $800 worth of batteries in it 3 yrs ago.

So that means, theyre at half life
So have I gotten $400 worth of service out of it compared to a gas cart??
    NOT EVEN CLOSE!

IT's the old of rob peter to pay paul syndrome with most electric vehicles. My neighbor charges his Tesla with solar only. It is pure "free" energy. He can use the car to power his house! He only uses the car for short trips though. The thing is crazy fast. But running the air cond, and some "spirited" driving and it goes less than 100 miles on a charge.

Tesla, and i'm sure most auto lithium batteries are closed loop recycled. Which means no waste is produced. (so they say)
