Does "Driving Miss Daisy" ring any bells ;-)
When we were younger she not only ran parts but helped on almost all aspects of boating. cleaning parts, wash/wax boat, back trailer, drive boat, I'm think'in she's earned her retirement. She boats with me every where, loves going fast.
She hasn't drove the Skater ...... Yet!Wriggleys gum makes me think of boating, "Double your engines, Double your fun"

I was building a Glen L Tuffy when we dated in High School back in the late 60's, she she knew what she was getting in to. Never went with me to an OPC race when I was racing in the 70's. Hates boats generally, will tolerate a slow cruise in a pontoon, but my boats are a guy thing. I think she knows enough not to tell me it is her or the boat--you know that old joke....Maybe I need to work on that girlfriend thing.
Now my daughter is a chip off the old block--crank it open and leave it there; unfortunately she up and got married and moved to Massachusetts, so few chances with her lately.Per Rock:
"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."
Per my hero Instigator:
"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

It sounds like I have it pretty good after reading most of these responses. I better order up a bouquet of flowers to be delivered tomorrow. The funny thing is that 99% of us were into boats or what ever we are into when we met them and isn't it amazing that they were crazy about us then but now we are assho-es and we never changed. I deal with this thought process on other issues besides boats but its the same theory no matter what the subject or hobby is.

mine will ride in it..but dont like going fast....she grew up in a 32ft cat....the 17ft over powered stream is a tad different.
had her in it one day ...it was about 50* out but beautiful....she was bundled up in her hoodie where all i could see was her nose.....got in a straight and eased it on up over 90....then eased it back down.....i played it off like nothing happened till around the next turn i looked over at her and she said "i seen that!"
last time out.....me and her were doing flyby sandbar ..friends egging me on...i got in the gas....IT WASNT SO COLD THAT DAY....I GOT SLAPPED IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD!
she puts up with my addiction...so i applaud her81' HYDROSTREAM VECTOR / slightly Modified 200

Well as long as we're telling wife stories and sleeping on couches, shortly after we first got married 14 years ago I did something to piss her off (I know...) and she told me to go sleep on the couch.
I told her that if she can get me to the couch I would sleep there. She tried for about half a second, gave up, and has NEVER told me to sleep on the couch again.

I just got a new boat for my wife. It was a good trade.
Haha but I take the 6month old daughter out with the wifey all the time. She doesn’t like fast though. She wants a cat with a cabin too. As do I !1) 1995 14' Bayliner Restoration <--Click
