    Switchable exhaust Mercury offshore mid

    Hi guys,

After my holiday in Italy (Lago di Garda), I'm thinking about a switchable exhaust. I love the sound of the V6, but in some cases it's a bit annoying (when you are cruising). Has anyone done something like this? Maybe it's possible to make something happen with a Mercury switch cable and a block off plate. There are allready some holes in the mid (were in there)..

I'm curious if anyone has something done before...

    I think you're right.

Someone on here did one yrs back too.
I like the idea but not having to run another cable.

A friend was making a pneumatic version. Not sure if it was ever finished.
Everything Ive seen cobbles up the mids too much for my liking. I just bought another one from Bobs Machine Shop for an upcoming project and they have removable, expandadable rubber freeze out plugs for theirs.
    Invisible when installed.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Not bad, but originally designed for the OMC V8. I like a mechanic option more than on air... But the idea is cool haha!
