The NERVE of some people !

So i post my boat for sale and within a few hours this guy calls me,we have a great conversation and set up a meet at the boat ramp by my house....So this guy drives 4 hours and was nothing short of a pleasure to hang out with.At that point we put the boat in the water and take her for a rip and within a mile he tells me to turn around and head back to the ramp so we can take care of buisness...THEN HE JUST HANDS ME THE ASKING PRICE without trying to work me and leaves with the boat and a smile after thanking me for everything being as posted.....WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE ! Rant over.

I did not want to part with it,but i also did not want to tow it 3,000 miles in a few weeks...So i priced it where i would not have sellers remorse or maybe be forced to tow it....Maybe i did go to low cause i had a back up buyer who came and looked at it yesterday....Cornfusing if ya ask me.Side note,that old saying about the 2 happiest days in a mans life is BUNK......Only remedy,find a boat on the east coast and pick it up as soon as i get there.

Sold 2 motors this summer- both brought asking price from first person who looked at them- 2004 XR6 $4 2007 150 EFI $6k both buyers from Indiana - 6-7 hours away
That was supply and demand - If guy drove 4 hours, he already had his mind made up

I had a guy drive 6 hours yesterday to look at a boat, had me custom install some graphs he wanted as an upgrade as well as install a float switch for him, he took the boat for an HOUR test drive without me, proceeded to have no idea how to drive the boat even though he assured me he was fine and could handle it, and then tells me he doesn't want it and leaves.
I wish I could find your kind of people...

Here's a good on for your amusement.... Son went to look at a "real clean" 25hp merc. Looked ok in the pics. Got there, found corrosion galore. And after pulling the cowling found some weird grinder divots on the block. WTF? HOT? All the electronics were just hanging by the wires. Wife/gf was there while he's looking at it. He said he didn't want it as it was kind of a mess and not a "real clean" motor like advertised. I'm sure he was polite. This is the good part....After the kid leaves, the husband /bf came home and the idiot called my kid and threatened him, saying that it was a good thing HE was not home when the my son was there. What a looooser. Kid and I got a good laugh out of it. You never know what level of stupid you will encounter out in the real world......
