Bobby Switzer built the boat, Motor "massaged" new by Uncle Ralph ( wizard of Mercs), and rigged by Jim Moulis, ( Fox Lake harbor, Outlaw Sprint cars "king of the cushion" Had horizontal race rams trim only. No tilt. Ran a surface 14x28 cupped, and damn RIGHT I tore up 2 gear cases. But DAMN, that boat GOT ME LAID! Never left our dock without 18 beers cooler, and 18 gallons gas (3 6 gallon tanks full). Bitch to get on plane 4 people, "OK on the bow, lets go!" SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!

Think the funniest day was went to the lake with 3 other ski (snow) club friends. Me and Rita front seats,. Gordy and Vic rear (seats out, hang on and facing backwards) Well,. going WOT, and Gordy slipped back and foot HIT THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER lever facing forward. Broke the pin, and FAST, DAMN, (with the windshield) FAST I'm in fog Bank! WTF? Thought torched the motor ( again, did 2 "holes in one..story that too) and Gordy says .."did I do that?" Funny great day! But EVERYDAY was a "remember when"..!

Heres one more ferya. My buddy Glenn...

It was late October, last ride before ice hits, pickle the boats, and gets the sleds out. Glenn, me and Gary go down river a beautiful Indian Summer day. Low sun, smoky have from all the leaf burning house's shoreline. Down to the dam, coming back. River was damn near boatless. So me front left, Gary in the back and Glenn nails it to go after so ducks. Never did get any as FASTER! But real soon I see him sawing away at wheel, doing switches dash, and realize the MOTOR UP AND DIED! Ya can't steer a jet no power worth a damn!
So here comes a houseboat slow chugging coming at us..(well, us him). Looks like a head on and I was ready to bail out right side now. Finally slowed enough and the little skeg caught and slams his starboard front, our SB side. WHAM!
So still floating, he tows us to shore (just happened to be a bar..damn a LOT of bars the "Fox Chain!)) there with a launch. Everybody OK, call the cops, and back the lake house to bring the trailer out. So we are BSing and dude said he was in the galley making a sandwich and never saw us coming! But the funny part? His wife was IN THE HEAD, and had just grabbed TP when hit. We go out the the boat, Sandwich fixings all over and She was flung off and out the can, and still had end the TP and IT WAS ALL OVER! Just to damn funny. They both rode MC's too, and ended great friends. Always funny when said.."remember when we "met"?
Glenns boat was toast, bent, motor sideways and off the mounts, just not gonna be fixed. Never saw water again..(Thats my old Bagger left side)

This? DAMN! Never in my dreams it would go this far! Drag raced a 57 650 Triumph bike at 17. Best time was 15.99 @ 99.9! Won got the trophy! Nitro was the new thing (figured out) "slingshots". Never forget the "large Father" "Big Daddy" doing a exhibition run. DAMN! But now you wackos in BOATS?

One more on the Switzer. Buddy had a Jet, 460 Tahiti I think. So we go out 2 in his boat 4 in mine. Punch off at 30 MPH. I caught him and passed (he only did 65, I could do 73). Well I lay off the foot he doesn't and cut in font me Jetovater up. I saw the "fire hose" coming and ducked behind the windshield. SOAKED US. People in back never saw it coming! Couple wet hens back there now!

Little more. Took the boat home one time for work (main house weekdays was 45 miles south, in Riverside). Stopped our local bar and ended up taking (towing) 5 wackos for a boat ride. Cops pull us over. OK, everyone out the boat NOW! Cops were cool and knew us well as we damn sure weren't Angels. My buddy Crazy Jimmy back there and won't get out! Cop says OUT! Jimmy says "I can't" Why? "CAN"T SWIM!" HA Made all pile (7 now) in the car. One of many times just got caught this time!
