78 MERC 150XS carb and prop issues
Hi folks,
Does anyone know how I could replace the jets for my old inline 6? runs fine once it takes off but very difficult to get it running after its hot and the motor is turned off. sat for 10 years until recently run.
Also, I have a 26 pitch clever that stripped the rubber guts. the numbers on the prop read 48-66/26-26. anyone know which hub kit would work?
THANKS!

They came from the factory with .082's.
Not sure why you want to change jets. Sounds like vapor lock in the hot weather.
Any decent propeller shop could swap out your hub.Last edited by cyhuff; 08-02-2018 at 12:26 PM.

.082 is the correct jets. Those engine do not like hot weather. Ran one on my 16 ally for 5 years. Now a v6.

I put 84's in mine, and ditched the choke for a primer. Proberly about time for crank seals too.

I like idea of using 84's and how did you set up the primer? Got a set of 74 1500's I was thinking about changing over.
Thanks
