3/16''- 1/4'' is plenty. You might be there now. 1708 is about 1/16''-1/8'' per layer normally. Only place I see needing glass is the area on the hull / transom beside the stringers. Remember, more contact area is stronger. Maybe 1 strip going from the stringer sides going out 2'' past the glass you have on the hull now. May be able to just add the glass when doing knees. Looks good as far as lamination goes. Doing a good job.

I went ahead and did one more layer that is 90deg from the others.I think i can call it good now and move on......Not sure why i was sweating this so much,it ended up being pretty damn fun.....and it has inspired me to tackle a few more things i was apprehensive about jumping into.ExtremVking, you rock ! I just can't thank you enough for the time you have invested in helping me along.Nothing better then the feeling of doing it yourself for the first time and knowing it is done better then it was.

Got her out on the water yesterday and all went perfect ! (except for my brand new fuel pump taking a dump) Picked up a bunch of rpm and mph and i am diggin that there is no longer any wiring/cables under the water line.

Congrats! Fun thread for me, I learned a lot and enjoyed the show. Does it feel tighter now? How fast does it go?

ROCK SOLID ! I couldn't be any happier. As far as speed, not exactly sure yet cause there was no gps signal in the area/mountains i was running and my speedo pick-up was kicking into the up position after 75mph.But my 28p Cleaver is now spinning at 6,400 which is a 400 rpm gain for me.Another huge difference was i have had a wiring issues the whole time that i never knew i had (cause everything worked)tell i pulled everything apart to get the motor off,the motor now has real good throttle response (see pic for meltdown)

I don't remember if i ever posted this pic,but this is how the boat was setup when i purchased it.This was after a 17 hour detail only...They had everything running under the waterline. My favorite
was the fuel line/clamps and fittings under water exposed.....especially with the amount of debris we have in out waterways.Last edited by VooDooChild 1267; 08-01-2018 at 11:11 AM.
