    Question What boat is this?

I shot these at the River Ranch and through the lens at first I thought it was an HST, but it's clearly not. It looks really cool though and I'm curious who makes this boat.

The mold of that boat was originally built by Richie Critchfield in Alabama who also built many small 13ft V-bottom EP class boats. For this boat he started with a Laser LTV then made some changes. I looked at this mold for about two years in a shop here in Shreveport and decided that it looked more like an early Allison like the GT-18 with LTV sponsons added to it. One other thing he added was the teepee running down the deck. After him the molds bounced around. One stop was Noble La with JD Lewing. He built a bass boat called the Flame. I don`t know where it went after him but it looks like some steps have been added to the bottom.

I saw this on instagram and thought it was a modded LTV but now I can more clearly see the deck and it's unique as well.

GT-20 with modified LTV sponsons is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it first as well Bobby. Interesting looking rig for sure.

I only know of one and it ran pretty good. It was very light weight.

Thanks so much guys. Really cool looking boat and it also looks like it runs very well. It does look like an LTV somewhat. I think it's a really nice design.

Did I have the name and place wrong? Prolly did. I didn`t know him personally but knew a little about him. He also built a copy of the Allison GT-18 or bought the molds from Allison. I figure that's where part of this tunnel came from. It was a good idea.

That does look like the boat that Danny built around 1986. Looks like someone cut pocket notches in the sponsons to reduce their width at the rear. The people that raced them liked the way they handled. I don't think many were built as Danny lost his life less than a year later.

That is correct. A bud got the last hull before Danny's accident.
